Review of: Strelka Bar Moscow
Type of venue: Trendy bar with a summer terrace
Trendy and relaxed.
Normal Moscow prices.
Always busy but never hectic.
That needs improvement
Summary: Strelka is your go-to spot for having relaxed drinks in a cool and trendy bar. The view in summer is stunning and the atmosphere makes it a great place to start the night.
Where is the Strelka Bar Moscow?
What kind of music do they play in Strelka?
It's a mix between funk, lounge and house that is really hard to describe. It does fit the very relaxed and laid-back atmosphere of the venue to a T though.
What kind of people go to Strelka and how is the vibe?
Strelka is definitely not a nightclub but a bar with a very distinct vibe. That begins with entering the bar, which is fairly spacious and has a nice red-brownish interior with plenty of places to sit, either on comfortable leather couches or just the classic bar seats. In the summer months though the bar is fairly empty because everyone is enjoying themselves right outside the bar. The DJ migrates as well and the whole scene resembles more an old school get-together at someone's cottage than a regular bar.
You can also make your way upstairs to one of the most popular and impressive terraces with a stunning view of Moscow's Christ-the-savior church. When it comes kicking back and relaxing with a well-mixed cocktail, this is definitely one of the best places in the city. For bigger parties or special events (like World Cup matches 2018) Strelka also opens its big stage with stands for spectators.
The people fit the vibe and you'll encounter a broad mix of modern, trendy, hip, fashionable and creative people. Strelka Bar is a favourite of Moscow's urban and creative crowd but it is open to anyone.
When should I go to Strelka?
Pretty much any time is good in Strelka. The only thing you need to know is that it closes at 3am, so you should be there a bit earlier. Best time is around 12am.
