Review of: Luch Bar Moscow
Type of venue: Stylish bar
Elegant but no face control.
Moderate prices given the nice ambiente.
That needs improvement
Summary: Luch Bar is a stylish and upscale bar at moderate prices that's definitely worth a visit. You'll have to cab it to the next place because there is no good option for continuing the evening closeby.
Where is the Luch Bar Moscow?
What kind of music do they play in Luch Bar?
On Fridays and Saturdays you have a DJ that puts on some cool house tunes but it's not the kind of bar where you really notice the music.
What kind of people go to Luch and how is the vibe?
The Luch Bar in Moscow is located slightly out of the center and close to the famous, but now closed, SoHo. That makes it a bit incovenient to start your night there, at least if you don't live in the South-Western part of Moscow.
The interior in Luch gives off a really cool and gentlemanly vibe: dark furniture, very high ceilings (it's in a former light bulb factory) and dimmed lights overall. It's a quite big establishment but you never have the feeling of being lost.
The coolest feature is the bar itself. It's about 30 meters long and bottles are arranged in bookshelves behind the bar. Pretty awesome if you ask me. You can also choose to sit at one of the plentifold tables or sofas.
As such, Luch Bar is the perfect spot to have a few drinks and head on to a more energetic spot. Which is exactly what people used to do, although unfortunately nowadays the bar is not quite as popular as it was a few years ago. It still manages to pull in a decent amount of people, especially on the weekend.
Guests are usually on the elegant side. Luch Bar is close to SoHo, so back in the day people would start their night at Luch and then head to the nearby SoHo for clubbing.
When should I go to Luch Bar?
It's open 7 days a week but on the weekend you can hit it up from 11 onwards to start the night there.
